and for inclusion among the rules for the Governing Body.

Provision will be made in the
Estimates for next year for the supply of single desks to
a certain number of class-rooms and similar provision will
be made in succeeding years till all class-rooms are so
provided.
The result will be a decrease in
the number of scholars who can be accommodated and, if
fees are not raised, a decrease in revenue. I am satisfied,
however, that there is undesirable overcrowding of class-
-rooms which must be prejudicial to education as well as to
health, and I have it under consideration whether more
immediate steps should not be taken to effect an improve-
-ment in this matter.

The report of the Examiners is on

the whole satisfactory, and I was much pleased with the
general condition and efficiency of the School when I made
my first personal inspection in January last.
